On a Sunday in July, a group of visitors from South Tyrol, Italy visited the Library as part of their time in Armagh. The Dean welcomed the group and gave them a tour of the Cathedral and then the Assistant Keeper gave a guided tour of the Library.
As a result of a discussion on language in the Library – the group members are Ladin speakers – the leader of the group, Mr Luis Mahlknecht, arranged with the Istitut Ladin “Micurà de Rü” for an unexpected gift of five books in the Ladin language to be sent to the Library. With pleasure this gift will be brought into the Library’s collection!
