Access Guide for Children

Steven Mooridian, MA Public History student from Queen’s University Belfast, developed an Access Guide for Children, in partnership with Armagh Robinson Library and No 5 Vicars’ Hill staff.

Steven was on placement with the NI Museums Council undertaking a project, developing access resources for children and families including those with autism. These resources will enable children and families to improve their pre-visit preparations. The use of visuals and simple language is aimed to ensure accessible communication for a range of ages and needs.

The placement involved Steven developing resources at both the Library and No 5 and also draft resources for the Irish Linen Centre and Lisburn Museum.

Thank you very much, Steven!

We would love to hear from families if they found this guide helpful before visiting us. We are keen to know what people, both children and grown ups, think so that we can keep the guide up to date and useful. Please let us know if it works for you!
