Charles Flanagan, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade for the Republic of Ireland, visited Armagh on ministerial business and made a brief visit to the Library. The Keeper of the Library welcomed the Minister and, among other items, showed him the 1835 Ordnance Survey Map of County Laois which showed the Minister’s home town of Mountmellick in the nineteenth century.
