The Library’s new temporary exhibition Written by Hand | Manuscripts in Armagh Robinson Library features various Medieval manuscripts, as well as some other manuscripts from our collection.
We will explain how manuscripts were made, how the pages are laid out, how to read the texts, and how different the attitude towards medieval manuscripts is nowadays compared to the 17th and 18th century.
The exhibition has been researched and compiled by the Library’s Archivist, Thirza Mulder.
The exhibition will be on display in Armagh Robinson Library’s Long Room from 1 December 2022 until 28 February 2023 during normal opening hours, Monday to Friday, 10.00am to 1.00pm and 2.00pm to 4.00pm.
