The Library will be the venue for three events in the 2011 William Kennedy Piping Festival . On Friday 15 November, there will be a talk at 5.30pm given by Roddy MacLeod, Rona Lightfoot and Allan Macdonald. The title of the talk is ‘An Insight into the World of Piobaireachd’. Admission is free.
On Saturday 16 November, there will be a concert at 11.00am entitled ‘World of Piping’ with performances by Daniel Philippe and Jil Lehart from Brittany, Roddy MacLeod from Scotland, Duo Lagrange Rutkowski from France, and Georgi Makris and Kostas Moungolias from Greece. Tickets are £7.00.
On the Saturday afternoon, at 2.30pm there will be an illustrated talk entitled ‘Sean O Riada Remembered’ given by Peter Browne. Admission is free.
