Some of the audience who attended this year’s Rokeby Lecture which was given by Dr Charles Dillon, (seated centre). His lecture was called ‘Hidden Gems: Irish Language Material in the Collections of Armagh Public Library’, after which Library staff had relevant material on display. Image by Ian Maginess
We welcomed many visitors to our two buildings for Georgian Day and had additional activities for them to enjoy. In the Library, silhouette cutter, Steve Abbott, made many silhouettes of our visitors. He worked tirelessly and gave added pleasure, as did the Living History actors, in this 18th century library. Meanwhile, in No 5, Ralph Adams as ‘Mr Price, the Registrar’ showed off his skill at making and using quill pens. Images by Ian Maginess
