The Ulster semi-final of an all-island schools’ debating competition on science issues took place in the Library. The two semi-finalists in the Debating Science Issues schools competition were Belfast High School and Banbridge Academy.
The judges included Dr Anna Gavin, Director of the Northern Ireland Cancer Registry, Dr John Butler, Senior Astonomer at Armagh Observatry, and Mr Andy Pollack, Director of the Centre for Cross Border Studies. All were welcomed to the Library by the Keeper.
