Pre-booking only required for group visits.
Casual visits do no longer need to be pre-booked.

When you visit

We want you to know that the health and safety of our staff and visitors remain very important to all of us. We are working to ensure a welcoming, safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

In response to Covid-19 and to help reduce the spread of the virus, we have the following procedures in place. These were drawn up to comply with the government regulation guidelines and will be reviewed on a regular basis.

Covid-19 Procedures

Face Coverings

Please wear face coverings while in the Library or No 5 unless unable to do so for medical reasons.

When you enter the Library or No 5

Signage will ask you to follow social distancing requirements;

Signage will also ask anyone with COVID symptoms not to enter the building;

Please use the hand sanitisers, available at the entrances of both buildings;

Please remove medical gloves and dispose of them in the pedal bins provided, and use the hand sanitiser.

While in the Library or No 5

Staff will welcome you and will guide you in the right direction around the building and exhibitions;

In order to support the NHS Test and Trace programme, we will ask all visitors to complete a Consent Form.

We ask our visitors to remain socially distanced from others;

Information flyers are available upon request. They can be disposed of after your visit in the designated bin;

Activity sheets for our younger visitors are available upon request;

One sample of each item of shop stock will be on display. Upon purchase we will supply you with items from a separate and safe stock;

We have a card reader to purchase items and to give donations touch-free.

Cleaning

The public and staff areas are cleaned regularly;

Hand sanitisers are available in both buildings.

Toilet facilities in the Library and No 5

Please note that toilet provision is limited to one person at a time in each building, unless a carer is required to give assistance.
