It is summertime at Armagh Robinson Library and No 5 Vicars’ Hill. We would love to see more families with children of all ages in the Library and No 5 this summer.

Let the little ones play with soft toys and card books, and the older boys and girls put their thinking caps on for a treasure or scavenger hunt in the Library, or a quiz and jigsaw puzzles in No 5. The adults can take their time to take in the atmosphere and to look at the exhibits.

This summertime at Armagh Robinson Library and No 5, during July and August, the Library has extended its opening hours to Saturday afternoons from 2-4pm, in addition to its normal opening hours on weekdays from 10am-1pm and 2-4pm. No 5 will be open Tuesday to Saturday: 10am – 1pm & 2-4pm.

Both the Library and No 5 now offer baby changing facilities. There are also low stepping stools available for little ones to use. We were able to install these child-friendly facilities, as well as buy the toys and books, with funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund through the Northern Ireland Museums Council’s Playful Museums Project.

We hope that you will enjoy your visit as much as the families of the Library’s team did!
